FALJC has been in the forefront on core issues of importance to the administrative law judiciary, which this past year focused on maintaining the integrity of the ALJ selection process and preserving judicial independence. Many other issues require attention as well, such as pay compression, ALJ qualifications, and the need for an independent ALJ administrative agency. There are multiple challenges on these fronts and we all want to see positive results.
FALJC keeps track of the latest developments for federal ALJs, including legislative activity, ALJ job openings, and agency specific news and information. As a FALJC member you will receive frequent e-mail Newsletters and News Alerts, full access to our informative website, invitations to our monthly luncheon meetings in the Washington, D.C. area, the opportunity to attend our Annual Seminar and Conference at reduced member rates, and a chance to meet and socialize with your ALJ colleagues from all over the United States.
FALJC is dedicated to promoting the unique interests of the federal administrative judiciary, including fair compensation and judicial independence. The resources for our efforts can only come from you. Membership in FALJC is limited to current federal Administrative Law Judges duly appointed under 5 U.S.C. Section 3105. Retired federal ALJs are also invited to join FALJC. If you have not already, please consider joining FALJC today.
Our new fiscal year begins on June 1, 2012. Please take the time to join or renew your current membership now and speak to your colleagues about doing the same. Once you join or renew, make sure you register, if you haven’t already, for access to the FALJC website’s Members Page and Message Board. All questions regarding FALJC website access, including user ID and passwords, as well as any problems accessing the website, must be directed to Judge Michael Rosas at rosas730@aol.com or you may call him at (202) 501-8633.
Renew your membership in FALJC for 2012-2013 by filling out and returning the membership application and sending in a check for your dues.
Newly appointed federal ALJs, and sitting ALJs who have never been a FALJC member, can inquire about our Free Trial Membership Program by making an inquiry through the Contact Us page on this website.
We hope to see you at a future FALJC event.
